Freight Matching & Forwarding.

CargoLink connects shippers, drivers & fleets, and licensed freight forwarders on a single digital platform so every load can find the right truck, partner, and route across East & Central Africa.

Designed around Dar es Salaam Port and regional corridors, the freight matching engine reduces empty returns, increases transparency, and keeps trusted partners at the center of every move.

Built for regional lanes

Freight matching is tuned for the corridors that matter most: Dar es Salaam to Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo, Uganda, Kenya, and South Sudan, including port pickups, ICD moves, and inland deliveries.

Instead of isolated phone calls and WhatsApp groups, CargoLink provides a shared digital layer where every shipment, partner, and truck is visible.

Who uses freight matching?

The freight matching & forwarding layer is designed to keep existing relationships at the center while adding structure, visibility, and better economics.

Shippers

Manufacturers, traders, NGOs, and FMCG companies.

Post shipments, compare options, and work with trusted forwarders or carriers while keeping all data in one place.

Drivers & fleets

Owner-drivers, fleet operators, and transport companies.

Receive vetted job offers, reduce empty returns, and build a digital track record that unlocks more work.

Freight forwarders

Licensed clearing & forwarding agents.

Orchestrate complex moves, manage subcontracted fleets, and keep clients informed with real-time data.

How freight matching & forwarding works.

CargoLink keeps the familiar workflow of phone calls and relationships, but adds a digital backbone: each shipment, quote, assignment, and document is attached to a single timeline.

1

Shipper or forwarder creates a shipment.

Define pickup and drop-off, cargo type (container, bulk, tanker, etc.), equipment requirements, and timing. For forwarders, multiple legs can be captured against the same client job.

2

Matching engine surfaces suitable carriers.

CargoLink uses preferred lanes, equipment type, historical performance, and live availability to suggest drivers and fleets that fit the job. Existing direct relationships can be marked as preferred.

3

Quote, confirm, and assign.

Depending on configuration, shippers can receive instant rates, request quotes from forwarders, or negotiate terms. Once confirmed, the job is assigned to a specific vehicle and driver with clear instructions.

4

Execution with live tracking & updates.

As the truck moves, status changes are reflected in the shipment timeline—pickup, en route, border crossings where supported, and delivery—reducing the need for constant calls and manual check-ins.

5

Completion, documents, and payouts.

At delivery, proof of delivery and supporting documents are uploaded or captured. CargoLink then triggers the agreed payment workflow, with funds moving through secure, traceable channels.

What's included in freight matching.

Freight matching & forwarding combines multiple features into one workflow, so you don't have to stitch together different tools for each step of the job.

Smart matching

Lane & equipment-aware suggestions.

Suggested drivers and fleets consider preferred corridors, equipment type, historical reliability, and operational constraints such as weight and cargo sensitivity.

Forwarder workspace

Tools for licensed freight forwarders.

Receive shipment requests, manage rates, assign subcontracted trucks, and keep customs and client documentation organized and linked to each job.

Profiles & reviews

Driver, fleet, and forwarder profiles.

Maintain profiles with documents, preferred lanes, and ratings so that over time you build a trusted network rather than starting from scratch for each shipment.

Flexible pricing

Work with set rates or negotiated deals.

Use instant rates on certain lanes or work on a request-for-quote basis with forwarders and fleets where trips are more complex.

Audit-ready history

Every shipment, fully traceable.

Quotes, assignments, status changes, and documents are logged against each shipment, making it easier to respond to audits and customer queries.

Ready for payments

Built to connect with secure payouts.

Freight matching is designed to tie directly into CargoLink's pricing, wallet, and payout flows, so that commercial terms and execution stay in sync.
